Hostel

The Hostel

  • Hostel facility will be provided for boys and girls from 5th standard onwards.
  • Each student is provided a wardrobe, cot, bed, blankets, table & chair.
  • Each student is provided with sport dress once in the beginning of each academic year.
  • Clothes are washed and pressed by the dhobi appointed by the management.
  • Land phone facility is available in the hostel. Cell phones are totally banned.
  • RO drinking water facility provided.
  • Power inverter or generator is provided.
  • TV and music system provided for limited use.
  • Hot water facility for bathing provided.
  • Fresh hygienic food is provided as per the schedule.

Boarding House Rules

  • The School has separate hostel for boys and girls. All students have put in four seaters, well ventilated comfortable shelf contained rooms having    Independent cup boards, Study Place, cot and mattresses.
  • All students in Boarding House are under the over-all charge of the Housemaster / Housemistress. The Housemaster / Housemistress is responsible for their all-round development and progress in academics, sports and games, cultural activities, manners, etiquettes and discipline.
  • All activities and movements of the students in each and every field will be with the permission, and overall guidance of the Housemaster / Housemistress.
  • No visitor is allowed to visit a student in the boarding house without the permission of the Housemaster / Housemistress.
  • No visitor is allowed to visit a student’s dormitory without the permission of the Housemaster / Housemistress.
  • No visitor (including a parent) is allowed to provide tuck, money etc., to any student.
  • The students may keep valuables like watches, cameras at their own risk.
  • Electronic gadgets such as Record – players, DVD / VCD players, Walkmans, Heaters etc., are not allowed.
  • Though a Housemaster will try his best to trace any lost valuables, he cannot take any responsibility of the losses of such articles.
  • Students are not allowed to keep cash with them.
  • No student is permitted to buy or sell or exchange goods, or lend and borrow money; Violation of this rule will be dealt with most severely.

Tuck and Food Parcels

  • The school is having a tuck shop to fulfill the stationery needs of the students.

General Rules and Instruction

  • Birthday cakes & sweets can be ordered in school.
  • No student is allowed to place an order for birthday cakes outside the school.
  • Parents / Local Guardians can call their children / wards on telephone once in a week. In case of an emergency, they may contact the Housemaster or Housemistress or The Principal On phone.
  • If a student wants to make a telephone call, in an emergency, he / she do so only with a written permission from the Housemaster / Housemistress.
  • On Sundays and holidays, no student should be in the school dress without the permission of the Housemasters / Housemistress on these days. On Sunday and holidays all students have to wear colour dress.
  • No employee of the KRCS is permitted to be the Local Guardian of any student.
  • Example is better than precept. Under no circumstance the students are permitted to hit /punish other students. When  the students are on outing they should carry either boiled water/mineral water with them.
  • No student is permitted to purchase eatables from  open and exposed stalls. A First Aid kit has to be carried on an outing/Picnic.
  • All lights should be switched off when there is no one in the Dormitory/Class. Sliding on staircase banisters / climbing trees are not allowed.
